    Vegetable Bouillon Powder Recipe

It's starting to get cold here in Texas and that signals soup-making season. Actually, I could eat soup year-round but my husband prefers it to be cold out when he eats soup. This vegetable bouillon powder recipe is your soup mix solution! It's healthy, fat-free, and ready in minutes.

Vegetable Bouillon Powder Vs Vegetable Stock

Vegetable bouillon is a highly concentrated broth; in other words, it's a stock that was seasoned and then concentrated. Having bouillon on hand simplifies making a soup, stew, chili, or even a broth.

How Long Will Vegetable Bouillon Powder Last?

This vegan bouillon can last for up to 2 years. Store in an airtight container in a dark place like your pantry.

Can I Leave out the Salt?

Yes, you can leave out the salt, in fact, I usually leave the salt out of my homemade vegetable broth when I can it and when I make any of my homemade seasonings. Leaving out the salt allows you to control the sodium content in your food and make adjustments for taste in the recipe you are using it in.

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup nutritional yeast
    • 1 Tbsp salt *optional
    • 1 Tbsp garlic powder
    • 2 Tbsp onion powder
    • 1 Tbsp thyme
    • 1 Tbsp parsley
    • 1 tsp celery seeds
    • ¼ tsp turmeric *optional
    • 1 tablespoon dehydrated carrots or other veggies *optional

    Instructions

    • Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight jar.
    • Add 1 tablespoon to 1 cup warm water for 1 cup vegetable broth.

    Canning Homemade Broth

Homemade vegetable broth may seem intimidating but I promise you it's easier than you think! Cooking with homemade broth allows you to control the ingredients, reduce the sodium content, use up leftover veggies, and more.

In this workshop, I'll cover cleaning your vegetables, roasting the vegetable, and then making the broth.

We'll finish up with how to store it. I'll show you my two favorite ways: Freezing and canning!

    I'm including printable recipes too!

Healthier, tastier, and cheaper than the store-bought version, what more could you ask for.
